MAHWAH, NJ – Rutgers-Newark freshmen
Stephanie Touzan and
Rachel Witt combined for 18 of Rutgers-Newark's 24 points, but Ramapo powered its way to a 3-0 New Jersey Athletic Conference women's volleyball victory in the Bradley Center. Set scores were 25-20, 25-10, 25-20.

Touzan had a match-high four aces and six kills on .417 hitting to notch a team-high 10 points while Witt hit .333 and led the Raiders with eight kills. Touzan accounted for all the Rutgers-Newark's aces as the Roadrunners constructed a 13-4 edge in that category.
The Raiders (0-18, NJAC 0-3) got a match-high 10 digs and two kills from sophomore outside hitter

Gabi Mangieri assisted on 17 of the team's 18 kills and teamed with junior middle blocker
Crystal Navarro for a pair of blocks.
Ramapo (10-3, NJAC 3-0) was paced by sophomore
Kayla Anders with 10 kills and two aces while
Kaitlin Smith added nine kills and an ace. Anders and Smith combined for 19 kills with just one error on just 29 swings to power the Roadrunners' solid .333 hitting percentage for the night.
Rutgers-Newark now prepares to host Montclair State on Tuesday night in The Golden Dome Rec Gym at 7 o'clock in another NJAC clash.
