NEWARK, NJ – Unbeaten and untied The College of New Jersey did not allow a shot by Rutgers-Newark in a 7-0 New Jersey Athletic Conference win on Alumni Field.

The Lions (11-0-0, NJAC 5-0-0), who have yielded just one goal this season, piled up a 40-0 edge on shots and took six corner kicks to none for the Scarlet Raiders (4-5-1, NJAC 1-2-1).

Raider junior goalkeeper Danielle Griscom made a dozen saves while TCNJ goalkeepers Kendra Griffin and Samantha Iamurri split the easiest of shutouts. 

Sophomore forward Katie Landrigan netted the first two goals of the match less than a minute apart as TCNJ jumped out to a 5-0 halftime advantage.  The Lions have now out-scored their opponents 39-1 through 11 matches.

Rutgers-Newark travels to FDU-Florham on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. non-conference match.
