Alex Nata's goal sent Rutgers-Newark into the half in a tie, but FDU-Florham came away with a 3-1 win in a non-conference match on Shields Field.

Karen Johnson in the 21st minute, but the Devils' defense did not allow another Scarlet Raider goal.

Danielle Griscom made 10 saves as FDU-Florham out-shot the Raiders, 33-12, and controlled corners, 8-2.
FDU's Brittany Kanickij scored the opening goal in the 15th minute, and she posted the game-winning goal in the 56th minute. Michelle da Silva added the insurance goal in the 64th minute.

Liana Abreu put all three of her shots on goal, including two in the second half. Johnson and senior midfielder
Angela Neves also tested Devil goalkeeper Melanie Pierson in the final 45 minutes, but she earned a shutout by making five total saves.
Rutgers-Newark visits Kean University at 7 p.m. on Friday to replay a New Jersey Athletic Conference match which was halted by lightning two week ago.
