MADISON, NJ – Sophomore forward
Daniel Naranjo tallied a pair of second-half goals three minutes apart to lift Rutgers-Newark to a 2-1 win over FDU-Florham on Shields Field.

Naranjo netted his team-leading fifth and sixth goals of the year with 17:04 and 15:05 left to stun the Devils (5-7) and rally the Scarlet Raiders (9-4-0). After leveling the score with an unassisted goal, he ripped his third game-winning goal of the year on a penalty kick. He's two for two on penalty kicks this season.
In the tight battle, junior goalkeeper
Jonathan Frances came up with six saves to FDU-Florham's Steven Domino's five to spell the difference. Each team put seven shots on goal with the Devils holding a slim 13-11 edge in shots.
Naranjo and freshman forward
Patryck Dawidczykeach put a pair of shots on goal for the Raiders.
Rutgers-Newark travels to Virginia to take on Christopher Newport at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
