OLD WESTBURY, NY – Rutgers-Newark led twice, but Old Westbury rallied for a 3-2 non-conference win at Panther Park.
Panther sophomore forward Stephanie Maybie had a hand in all of her team's goals, scoring the final two after assisting on the first.

Kelsey Benoit made a pair of saves to give Rutgers-Newark a 2-1 edge at the half. The Panthers used a fast start to gain a 10-8 edge in shots, but the Raiders closed out the period with the momentum.

Cristina Estremera opened the scoring on Rutgers-Newark's first shot just 6:46 into the contest, but junior forward JoAnna Kettell put away a feed from Maybie just 39 seconds later.
Maybie scored on an assist from junior midfielder Cristina Kettell just 3:56 into the second half to level the match. Maybie put away an assist from sophomore forward Kassandra Franco with just under five minutes remaining to net the game winner.
Old Westbury out-shot the Raiders, 21-17.
Benoit finished with five saves while Panther sophomore keeper Heather Grosso stopped six shots.
Rutgers-Newark (1-5-0) starts a string of five straight New Jersey Athletic Conference matches when it hosts Rutgers-Camden on Alumni Field at 7:30 Saturday night.
