Adrianna Pagnotta paced Rutgers-Newark with a dozen points in a 3-0 sweep of the College of Staten Island in the CSI Sports & Rec Center. Game scores were 25-12, 25-19, 25-18.
Pagnotta posted a match-high nine kills and joined classmates

Hannah Riede with three aces as the Scarlet Raiders (6-10) snapped a three-match losing skid with the road win over the Dolphins (5-11).

Veronica Chau posted seven kills, an ace and a blocking assist for Rutgers-Newark while sophomore middle blocker
Sharee Gordon notched four kills on nine swings without an error. Gordon also got in on two of the Raiders' four blocks.

Christina Maglione chipped in three kills, two aces, a solo block and a blocking assist for 6.5 points while Riede equaled her with three kills and a blocking assist to go along with her three aces. The Raiders delivered 13 aces while giving up just four to the Dolphins.
Hormaza distributed 18 assists while senior libero
Paulina Walega came up with a team-high 13 digs.
Junior middle hitter Pola Poskrobko led CSI with five kills, two aces, a solo block and a blocking assist.
Rutgers-Newark begins a string of three matches in as many days on Tuesday at 7 p.m., hosting William Paterson in a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest. The Raiders are at the College of St. Elizabeth on Wednesday for a non-conference test before taking on NJAC leading Richard Stockton on the road on Thursday.
