Samantha Renfree paced the Scarlet Raiders with seven kills apiece as Rutgers-Newark delivered a dozen aces. Gordon got in on four the Raiders' five blocks with a pair of solos and two blocking assists to total a team-high 10 points.

Senior outside hitter Eve Romanowski led the Ravens (2-20) with match highs of 11.5 points and 10 kills while adding 11 digs.

In the 25-12, 25-15, 25-21 loss to Baptist Bible, Kopacz dished out 22 assists to a truly balanced attack, but the Defenders(7-17) hit .265 (36 kills, nine errors, 102 attacks) to earn the sweep.

Adrianna Pagnotta each had five kills for Rutgers-Newark with Gordon adding a solo block to lead the team in points.

After delivering a dozen kills in the opener, the Raiders were limited to a pair of aces by Campanelli in the nightcap while Baptist Bible totaled 11.

Riley came up with a match-high 19 digs while Hormaza with 11 and Kopacz with 10 gave Rutgers-Newark a trio with double digit digs.

Freshman middle hitter Callie Kitowski tallied a game-high 13 kills plus two aces and a pair of solo blocks to lead the Defenders.

Rutgers-Newark (13-9) is at SUNY Maritime on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. non-conference match before travelling to the SUNY Cobleskill Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
