BRONXVILLE, NY – Rutgers University-Newark raced past Sarah Lawrence, 25-10, 25-9, 25-8, in the Noyes Center to extend its winning streak to four matches.
 
Freshman Karolina Kopacz and Sue Riley each delivered a career-high six service aces as head coach Jason Madsen used all 16 Scarlet Raiders in the 53-minute rout.  Kopacz added six kills while Riley came up with a match-high 14 digs.
 
Junior middle blocker Sharee Gordon posted match-highs of nine kills and four solo blocks on her way to 13.5 points while freshman setter Nathalie Breining dished out 23 assists to stoke a Raider attack which hit .338 (31 kills, nine errors, 65 attacks) and chipped in an ace.
 
Freshman outside hitter Samantha Renfree notched all six of her kills on just nine swings in the third game.
 
Rutgers-Newark piled up a season-high 16 aces as freshman outside hitter Sydney Tuman notched three.  Freshman middle blocker Amber Borowski posted three kills and a solo block in one game.  Sophomores Chrissy Campanelli and Kathy Hormaza each registered two kills in just three swings.
 
Outside hitter Lenie Siegel paced the Grypons (2-10) with five kills.
 
The only time that the Raiders trailed was at 2-0 to begin game two.
 
Rutgers-Newark (11-5, NJAC 2-2) hosts Rowan (7-12, NJAC 2-2) in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in The Golden Dome Arena.
