Veronika Tueros made seven saves but the Lions (5-1-0, NJAC 1-0-0) piled up a 24-3 advantage in shots while taking all four of the corner kicks in the contest to bounce back from their first loss of the season to Johns Hopkins on Saturday.

Victoria Benet knifed between Tueros and the goal mouth with 6:47 left in the opening half to deny a certain goal by freshman midfielder Kathryn Bednarsky and limit TCNJ's halftime lead to two.

Sophomore forward Christine Levering had a hand in all three TCNJ tallies, scoring twice around an assist. She took a cross into the middle from the left side by sophomore defender Brianna Petro and put what proved to be the game-winning goal into the right side in the 18th minute. Five minutes later, Levering pushed a through pass to senior forward Korrie Harkins for a putaway from the right side of the box. In the 56th minute, Levering headed a corner kick from the left side by senior defender Jordan Downs into the right side of the goal to finish the scoring.
Rutgers-Newark hosts Mount St. Vincent at 5 p.m. in the opening game of a women's and men's doubleheader on Alumni Field on Wednesday. The Raider men (7-2-0) take on St. Joseph's LI at 8 in the nightcap.
