– The Rutgers University-Newark men's soccer team returns to the friendly confines of Alumni Field Wednesday night when the Scarlet Raiders welcome New Jersey Athletic Conference rival William Paterson University to town. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and fans unable to make the trip to Newark can follow love via stats and video at www.rutgersnewarkathletics.com.

NJAC Standings
 
The Scarlet Raiders are currently tied for third in the conference standings at 3-1-1 with Stockton University (11-3-1 overall), while Paterson is in seventh place at 1-2-1 (4-5-2 overall). R-N is unbeaten in its last four matches (3-0-1), having not allowed a goal during its current streak and scoring seven of its own. Most recently, Rutgers-Newark played Stockton to a 0-0 road draw, while William Paterson upset Kean University in double overtime to hand the Cougars their first NJAC loss of the season.
 
Rutgers-Newark comes into play eighth in the nation and second in the conference in total assists with 32, ranking 17th in the country in total points (1-4). The Raiders' 36 goals is No. 21, while the team cracks the top-50 in assists per game (2.13; No. 34) and points per game (6.93; No. 48).
 
Junior Sebastian Gostynski is the top-ranked Raider in the individual marks, slotting in at No. 28 in total assists (seven), while freshman Damjan Agaj is 38th with six. The duo checks in second and fourth in the conference respectively. Agaj's .50 assists per match is 49th nationally.
 
Senior goalkeeper Matt Broomall and the rest of the Scarlet Raider defense is also working on a four-plus match scoreless streak having not allowed a goal in the team's last 386:05 of game action.
 
In 2014, R-N visited William Paterson, defeating the Pioneers by a score of 2-1 in double overtime, and the Scarlet Raiders are 3-0-1 in the team's last four meetings.
