NEWARK, N.J. (October 7, 2015)
– The Rutgers University-Newark men's soccer team continues to be featured in a variety of national statistical rankings released by the NCAA Tuesday.
 
R-N (10-3-0, 3-1-0 NJAC) takes on FDU-Florham Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in Madison and fans can follow the action live at www.rutgersnewarkathletics.com.
 
The Scarlet Raiders are currently No. 16 in the nation in total points with 96 and are 19th in assists per game (third in the New Jersey Athletic Conference), averaging 2.31 per outing. The team's 33 scores are 21st in the nation, while their 7.38 points per game are 43rd. R-N and its 2.54 goals per game average sits just outside the top-50 at No. 58.
 
Junior Sebastian Gostynski is 17th in the country and second in the conference in total assists with seven, while rookie Damjan Agaj is 25th overall and third in the conference with six. Agaj's .60 assists per match has him 31st nationally and second in the NJAC.
 
After the non-conference contest at FDU, Rutgers-Newark will return to action Saturday afternoon at Richard Stockton in a key NJAC showdown. Stockton and the Scarlet Raiders are neck and neck in the conference standings with the Scarlet Raiders tied for third at 3-1-0 and the Ospreys tied for fourth at 2-1-0 with one less game played.

1. Rutgers-Newark is one of six teams in the NJAC with one loss or less. Kean University and Montclair State University are currently undefeated at 3-0-0.
2. Two Scarlet Raiders were honored by the NJAC on Monday as senior goalkeeper Matt Broom and Agaj were named the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week and NJAC Rookie of the Week, respectively.
3. After a 1-2-0 start to the season, R-N has won nine of its last 10 outings. The Scarlet Raiders have also won their last seven home matches.
