INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 23, 2015) – The Rutgers University-Newark women's soccer team can be found among the national statistical leaders in several categories after jumping out to a 7-2-0 start to the 2015 season.
R-N is ranked 42nd nationally in total goals with 21, leading the New Jersey Athletic Conference in that stat as well. The Raiders are just outside the top-50 (No. 53) in total points as well with 53, placing third in the NJAC.
Senior
Sara Corson currently leads the entire nation in game-winning goals with four, tying with nine others for the lead. Sophomore goalkeeper
Diana Carvalho is No. 2 nationally in minutes at 819:50, with Corson checking in 13th nationally and No. 1 in the NJAC in total goals (nine). Her 18 points are 29th in DIII and first in the conference as well.
Five Quick Kicks:1. Rutgers-Newark is better than doubling-up foes in goals, scoring 21 while only allowing 10.
