Live Video | Live Stats

NEWARK, N.J. (October 20, 2017) – The Rutgers University-Newark women's soccer team will host Montclair State University in a New Jersey Athletic Conference tilt Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. on Alumni Field, and prior to the game, the Department of Athletics will honor a group of six seniors suiting up at home for the final time during the regular season.

In a ceremony beginning at 7:15 p.m., veteran standouts Diana Carvalho, Angelika Barris, Sabrina Solorzano, Nicole Gomez, Allyson Daly and Haley Savva will be honored on the field.

The group has played an enormous role in the rise of Rutgers-Newark women's soccer, helping the team to some of the most successful seasons in program history. These ladies were instrumental in the team making back-to-back Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Metro Championship title matches, a new program-record for wins in a season, the program's first two berths in the league tournament and its first-ever win in the NJAC Tournament.

After the ceremony, the Scarlet Raiders will play a key game as it relates to the conference standings as the ladies make a push for a berth in the NJAC Tournament for the third time in four years.

NJAC Standings
