Rutgers-Newark will get 2018 started in Texas with a pair of matches in San Antonio. The Raiders will square off with national power Trinity University on August 31 in the opener, with a September 2 showdown against Southwestern University to follow.

The team's home opener will be at 5 p.m. on September 5 against The City College of New York, and that weekend Newark will travel to Ewing, N.J. to do battle against Elizabethtown College and Gettysburg College in the TCNJ Adidas Soccer Classic. R-N and E'Town last played in the second round of the NCAA Tournament back in 2016 with the Scarlet Raiders punching a ticket to the Sweet 16.

The team's NJAC opener will be back in Ewing, N.J. versus The College of New Jersey on September 15, and following a non-league home tilt against Albright College, the Scarlet Raiders will host Stockton University in their first home conference showdown.

The College of Staten Island will come to town on September 24, and after a road trip to NJAC foe Ramapo College, R-N will host rival Montclair State University on Saturday, September 29.

A non-league fixture at 2017 Sweet 16 participant Stevens Institute of Technology is next on the ledger, and a trip to league-mate Rutgers University-Camden is slated for October 6. A brief two-game road swing comes to an end with an NJAC match against William Paterson University.

Rowan University comes to the Brick City on October 13 in a re-match of the 2017 NJAC title game, and an NJAC game against Kean University will close the home portion of the schedule and serve as Senior Night (October 20).

Rutgers-Newark will close the regular season at conference opponent New Jersey City University on Wednesday, October 24, and the NJAC Championship Tournament is set to begin on Saturday, October 27.
