NEWARK, N.J. (September 13, 2018) – The Rutgers-University Newark women's soccer team cruised to its third consecutive victory over Mount Saint Vincent College, 6-0. The match was played on Frederick Douglass Field but R-N served as the away side as field conditions forced the game from last night to this evening in the Brick City. The Scarlet Raiders improve to 3-1-1 while the Dolphins move to 1-4.
Rutgers-Newark scored early and often as the team saw five different players find the back of the net, led by senior
Juliana Ceballos who notched a brace.

Nina Gonzalez made one save in relief to complete the shutout. Junior Meaghan Cleary had a busy night with 10 stops while suffering the loss.
The Scarlet Raiders return to action on Saturday when they open their New Jersey Athletic Conference slate by hosting No. 4 TCNJ at 7:30 p.m.
R-N jumped on MSV just 67 seconds into the contest. A shot by rookie
Bre Costa forced a save from Cleary and earned an early corner. On the ensuing cross, Richter got her foot to the loose ball and found the net to make it 1-0.
Mackin doubled the advantage in the 17
th, taking a feed from Bohus on the left side before using her strong left-foot to rip her strike into the bottom right corner of the goal.
Bohus continued playing facilitator less than eight minutes later when her diagonal ball found Ceballos. The midfielder did the rest, taking a couple dribbles before driving her shot past the keeper.
Silveira got in on the action at 40:59 when she received a long pass from McCourt near the top of the 18. Silveira made the most of her opportunity, controlling the ball before blasting her attempt out of reach of the goalie.
Ahmed capped the scoring in the first half with the first of her collegiate career, corralling a long ball from Moreno and then beating the netminder to make it 5-0.
Ceballos tacked on another goal in the 62
nd minute, following up her own penalty kick with a header into the back of the net.
