NEWARK, N.J. (September 4, 2018) – The Rutgers University-Newark soccer teams will host the annual Soccer Fest Celebration on Wednesday night, September 5, on the newly minted Frederick Douglass Field.

5 p.m. - CCNY vs Men's Soccer
7:30 p.m. - Old Westbury vs Women's Soccer

The men will kick things off at 5 p.m. against CCNY after playing two games in Texas to open the 2018 season. Rutgers-Newark will be looking for its first triumph of the year against the Beavers. The Scarlet Raider women will also be playing in front of the Brick City faithful for the first time after going 0-1-1 on the road to begin the year. R-N took a tough Cortland team to overtime Sunday after playing to a scoreless draw at Lehman Friday and will square off against Old Westbury at 7:30 p.m.
 
Fans in attendance will get a limited edition 2018 Soccer Fest t-shirt and anyone with a valid Rutgers-Newark ID will receive free admission to Wednesday's game and all home soccer games this season.

Following Wednesday's game, the Rutgers-Newark men will travel to Ewing, N.J. for the The College of New Jersey tournament. The women will host a pair of non-conference games on Frederick Douglass Field Saturday and Sunday afternoon in Newark.
