Women's Soccer Season Ends In ECAC With 1-0 Loss To FDU-Florham

Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. | A second-half goal by FDU-Florham knocked Rutgers University-Newark out of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) this afternoon. The Scarlet Raiders' season comes to a close at 11-8-2 after the 1-0 loss to FDU-Florham.

Sabria Glasgow tallied a team-high three shots for the Scarlet Raiders while Ana Silveira, Tamia Howell, and Samantha Richter each put a shot on target. Heidi Paulson made five saves between the pipes in the loss.

After putting seven shots towards goal in the first half to no avail, the Devils found the back of the net with their first shot of the second half. Madeline Finnegan was able to put her shot past Paulson and into the back of the net in the 59th minute.

The Scarlet Raiders tallied one shot in the second half and were unable to find the equalizer to send the game into extra time.

The 11-8-2 record was the first finish above .500 since 2015 and the Scarlet Raiders will look to build upon that success next season.
