EWING, N.J. | The Rutgers University-Newark Scarlet Raiders hit the road this afternoon for a match against The College of New Jersey. The Scarlet Raiders went there in search of their first win of the season but came home empty-handed after falling 9-0. Rutgers University-Newark dropped to 0-6 while TCNJ improved to 10-2.
Veer Kachhiapatel and
Richard Nguyen scored the only point in their doubles match, falling 8-1 on court two.
Sebastian Narath and
Alan Yu were the first to finish in doubles after falling 8-0.
When play switched to singles, Narath looked to put a tally in his team's column but fell 6-3, 6-0 in the number one slot. Â Yu looked to upset Justin Wain on court three but was stifled 6-2, 6-0.
Up next for the Scarlet Raiders is a home match against Brooklyn College at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 12.
