Newburgh, NY | The Rutgers-Newark men's tennis team suffered their fifth straight defeat this afternoon against Mount Saint Mary, 8-1.
The Scarlet Raiders were swept in doubles play, with
Richard Nguyen and
Veer Kachhiapatel coming close with an 8-5 defeat.
Vihang Patel and
Shridhar Amin also fell 8-5 on court three.
Amin was the lone point grabber for the Scarlet Raiders, winning 6-1 and 6-4, on court six to prevent being shut out. Patel battled in the five slot but was ultimately defeated 6-4, 6-2.
The Scarlet Raiders will square off against The College of New Jersey on Wednesday, April 10 at 3:00 pm in Ewing, NJ.
