Ettayebi Puts #RUNWSOC Back in the Win Column With 1-0 Win

NEW HAVEN, CT | The Scarlet Raiders women's soccer team ended their two-game losing skid tonight with a 1-0 win over Albertus Magnus. The win moves the Scarlet Raiders to 3-4 while Albertus Magnus drops to 2-3-1.

In an evenly matched game on the pitch, Leila Ettayebi was the difference maker, scoring her 4th marker of the year in the 12th minute. Ava Dul slid a pass to Ettayebi who beat Amy Stevens for the lone goal of the game.

The game was not devoid of offense as each keeper was forced to make seven saves in the game. Katie McLaughlin continues to make highlight save after highlight save for her squad, making sure to keep them in the game. In the 2nd half, the Scarlet Raiders nearly doubled their lead when Julia Nephew hit the crossbar. Immediately following, Tamia Howell put Stevens to work with a pair of shots that forced saves.

McLaughlin made a save with 67 minutes remaining in the game and the Scarlet Raiders made sure to make that the last attempt for Albertus Magnus as they were held without a tally for the remainder of the game.
