Ayden Brown Named NJAC Rookie of the Week

PITMAN, NJ | The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) released its weekly award winners with Ayden Brown of the Rutgers-Newark men's basketball team, earning NJAC Rookie of the Week.

Brown led the Scarlet Raiders to a 1-1 record to start the season at the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic. Brown scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds in the loss to Springfield before coming back the next day to score another 14 points in the win over Hiram. Brown also helped facilitate the offense against Hiram as he dished out a team-high six assists.

Brown and the Scarlet Raiders return to action on Wednesday when they travel to FDU-Florham for a non-conference bout at 7:00 p.m.
