Men's Soccer Unveils 2023 Schedule

NEWARK, NJ | The Rutgers University-Newark men's soccer program has released its 2023 slate packed with regional talent behind its 2022 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship.

The Scarlet Raiders enter the 2023 season with an even home and away slate with 9 home games and 9 away games.

Rutgers-Newark starts its season on the road against Lebanon Valley on Friday, September 1 before completing its road trip with a battle against Elizabethtown on Sunday, September 3. Head Coach Kevin East remains at the helm of a talented roster that has been bolstered by skilled freshmen to help keep the arrow pointing up. The men open their home slate against St. Joseph's - Brooklyn on Tuesday, September 5 before hosting the annual Brick City Classic on September 9 & 10. The Brick City Classic will feature New York University, The College of New Jersey and Penn St.-Abington.

They will then take on a trio of non-conference opponents before opening New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play against Stockton in Galloway, NJ on Wednesday, September 20. Just one week after that, the Scarlet Raiders will square off against NJAC Champions, Rowan University, on Saturday, September 30 on the road. A break in the NJAC schedule will take place on October 4 when they travel to Hoboken, NJ to take on Stevens Institute of Technology.

The Scarlet Raiders will round out its season against New Jersey City University at Frederick Douglass Field on Wednesday, October 25 at 7:00 pm.
