Men's Track & Field Races at the Tiger Season Opener

TOWSON, MD | The Rutgers-Newark men's track & field squad raced at the Tiger Season Opener hosted by Towson University on Saturday morning.

Nicholas Branco tallied a time of 12.90 in the 100m, good for 56th. In the 110m hurdles, Zachariah Muyingo took 9th (17.24). Choice Dousuah placed 11th in the 200m with a time of 22.55 while Diego Gomes (25th, 23.21), and Cedric Augustin (46th, 24.09) rounded out the event.

Chris Williams gave the Scarlet Raiders a 27th-place finish in the 400m after clocking a time of 54.78. Andrew Mark highlighted the Scarlet Raiders in the 400m hurdles, placing 2nd with a time of 57.49. Adam Abushanab took 3rd in the 5000m run, using a time of 15:37 to do so.

Timaul Williams placed 2nd in the discus with the 2nd best throw in program history with a toss of 48.01m. Hunter Eldridge finished 11th in the same event with a toss of 36.99m. Sean Deuer improved his standing in the weight throw and finished 6th with a distance of 42.20m.
