WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - Rutgers-Newark wrapped up Day 2 of the AARTFC Outdoor Regional Championship with a strong showing from its women's team, finishing 22nd overall with 13 points. The men's team did not score in the final standings.
Zrreyah Moore delivered a standout performance, accounting for 12 of the Scarlet Raiders' 13 points. She placed 5th in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 55.70 and followed that up with an impressive 2nd-place finish in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 24.27.
Fejiro Akiri added to the scoring with an 8th-place finish in the women's shot put, recording a throw of 12.12 meters.
With the outdoor season drawing to a close, Rutgers-Newark will look to build on these performances heading into Nationals next week in Geneva, Ohio.
