Williams & Abushanab Lead Scarlet Raiders at TCNJ Invite

EWING, NJ | The Rutgers-Newark men's track & field team took part in the TCNJ Invite on Saturday afternoon.

Andrew Mark placed 3rd in the 100m dash with a time of 11.84 while Cedric Augustin finished 7th in the same event with a time of 11.98. Diego Gomes gave the Scarlet Raiders a 6th place finish in the 400m after securing a time of 51.83.

Christopher Williams ran a time of 2:17.21 in the 800m while Adam Abushanab ran a time of 15:24.04, good for a first-place finish. In the long jump, Zachariah Muyingo placed 3rd with a distance of 6.66m. In the discus, Timaul Williams gave the Scarlet Raiders another gold medal with a toss of 49.06m. Hunter Eldridge finished 13th in the discus with a throw of 37.01m while Azor Chareyre-Ramirez took 28th (28.70m).
