CORTLAND, NY | The Rutgers University-Newark men's track and field team opened the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Outdoor Championships on Wednesday. 

Timaul Williams set the school record in the hammer throw with a toss of 56.15, good for a third-place finish. 

Day 2 continues tomorrow where the Scarlet Raiders will look to take down more school records.
