LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Competing at the NCAA Regional Championships at Dream Park, the Rutgers–Newark cross country teams closed out their seasons with strong individual performances.
The Scarlet Raider men finished 25th overall, posting an average time of 34:47. Rutgers–Newark was paced by Daniel Cortez, who clocked a 31:15.5 to place 139th, and Carlos Gonzales Delgado, who followed closely behind in 140th with a time of 31:25.2.
On the women's side, Rutgers–Newark did not field enough runners to register a team score, but Angelina Rodriguez turned in a standout effort, finishing 111th with a time of 25:42.6 to lead the Scarlet Raiders.
