PTIMAN, N.J. -
Raheem Murray wasted no time announcing himself to the conference, earning NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after a stellar opening stretch to his collegiate career.
Murray started the season with 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting against Stevens, adding three rebounds and three assists. He followed up with a 23-point, two-steal performance versus Saint Elizabeth in the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic, then capped the week with 10 more points in the tournament championship game against Franklin & Marshall.
Across the three-game week, Murray averaged 17.3 points while shooting 58% from the field and 38.5% from beyond the arc, an electric debut that made him an easy choice for NJAC Rookie of the Week.
