PITMAN, NJ | Rutgers-Newark had 64 representatives on the
New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Academic Team for the 2024-25 season.
To be eligible, student-athletes must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors in a conference-sponsored sport and have a minimum 3.20 grade point average.
Madison Umlauf and
Eric Recchia were named First Team All-Academic with
Izzy Deltoro and
Paul Recchia named Second Team All-Academic.
Eric Recchia was named First Team All-NJAC. He paced the team with a .295 batting average, 5 HRs, and 24 RBIs while his brother
Paul Recchia finished with a .282 batting average, 5 HRs, and 20 RBIs.
Izzy Deltoro appeared in three games with one start for the Scarlet Raiders women's soccer team.
Madison Umlauf appeared in 22 games with 10 starts as the ace for the Rutgers-Newark softball squad.
