NEWARK, N.J. — Rutgers University–Newark Athletics has welcomed Tiffany Manning as its new Coordinator of Academic Support and Student-Athlete Welfare through the NCAA Pathway to Excellence Grant.
The Pathway to Excellence Grant provides funding for full-time, entry-level athletics administrative positions for two academic years, giving participants the opportunity to gain valuable experience across various areas of collegiate athletics administration and providing professional development.
Manning will oversee the department's Academic Success program, working directly with Scarlet Raiders student-athletes to provide individualized and group academic support throughout the year. Her responsibilities will include coordinating study halls, working one-on-one with student-athletes and helping provide the resources and support necessary to promote academic success and overall student-athlete well-being.

Megan Haughey said. "Tiffany will be managing our Academic Success program, ensuring our student-athletes have someone working with them both individually and in group settings, including study halls, to ensure academic success and support. We cannot wait to welcome Tiffany to Newark!"
A native of Randallstown, Maryland, Manning is a graduate of Hood College, where she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and recently earned her Master of Business Administration.
Manning also brings experience as a former collegiate student-athlete and coach. She was a four-year member of the Hood women's basketball program and earned All-MAC Commonwealth honors in her final season. Following her playing career, Manning remained at Hood as a graduate assistant with the women's basketball program, gaining additional experience in collegiate athletics.
"I'm so excited to begin this new chapter and join the staff at Rutgers-Newark," Manning said. "I'm grateful for the opportunity and can't wait to learn, grow, and contribute to the department while working with and supporting our student-athletes."
