Coaches Corner

Head coach Nate Guagliardis energized about the season ahead:

"This year's team is young, ambitious, and hungry to compete, to challenge, and to create a new culture within our program. The returners are eager to get back out there, and with the addition of a talented 1st-year class, we are hoping to compete each time we step foot on the field. As we look forward, our biggest expectation for this fall is to compete and qualify for a postseason berth."

Coach Guagliardi highlights Mariana Valencia, Gabby Negvesky, and Maria Castillo as impact players going into the season. Mariana Valencia returns with a proven ability to create scoring chances, finishing with four goals and an assists in her 2023 campaign. Gabrielle Negvesky was a reliable presence in defense and midfield last year, starting 16 matches while contributing to a strong Scarlet Raider defense that held opponents to one goal or less in six games last season. Maria Castillo also made her mark, showcased by a standout performance against NJCU where she recorded two shots, including one goal and played the full 90 minutes. While these players are expected to help lead the way, Guagliardi emphasizes that success will ultimately come from the entire roster working together as one.
