Rutgers-Newark Athletics

SENIOR (2014): Top Raider finisher in five of the team’s seven meets while figuring in the team scoring in every race… broke 30-minute barrier three times… ran a personal best 28:52.55 in the NJAC Championships (1/11/14) to lead team… clocked a 29:27.6 at the NCAA Atlantic Regional (11/15/14) to pace Raiders.

SOPHOMORE (2012-13): Participated in outdoor track in the spring of 2013 and cross country in the fall of 2013 at Union County College… was a member of the inaugural teams in each sport for the Owls.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterman in cross country and two-year letterman in indoor and outdoor track & field at Roselle Catholic HS… helped cross country team to a Parochial B State title in 2008… Lions took state indoor track & field title during his senior year (2011) after finishing second in 2010... was on the swimming team as a freshman.

PERSONAL: Criminal justice major… an academic senior who is in his first year of cross country at R-N... ran track indoors and outdoors for the Raiders last year... son of Marylou and Biagio Acito… has two younger brothers (Mateo and Franky).
