Biography

NOTES: Blossomed into an All-NJAC performer in her junior season… deadly perimeter scorer who runs the floor well and attacks the basket off the dribble… one of five seniors who have carried Rutgers-Newark to four straight winning records, a composite record of 65-43, the school’s first four appearances in the NJAC Championship Tournament and four consecutive ECAC Metro Championship Tournament berths.

PROFILE OF THE WEEK (February 6, 2008)

SENIOR (2007-08): Started all 27 games for the Scarlet Raiders, leading the team in scoring with 10.0 points per contest… also averaged 2.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.9 steals per game…. opened season with a 14-point, 3-rebound, 3-steal performance against Briarcliffe (11/16/07)…netted a team-high 18 points with three assists and three rebounds in a 83-63 nonconference win over Staten Island (11/26/07)… went 8-for-15 from the floor with a team-high 17 points, four rebounds and two assists in a 75-35 triumph over Medgar Evers (11/28/07)… scored 15 points with two assists and a steal against Stevens (12/04/07)… tallied 13 points and nabbed six steals against York (NY), before putting forth an 11-point, 6-steal, 2-assist effort against Hunter (12/30/07)… collected up five rebounds, four steals and three assists, while finishing 12-for-16 from the field for a career-high 27 points in a 70-58 victory over conference rival Rutgers-Camden (01/26/08)… poured in 14 points against William Paterson (01/30/08)… netted 12 points to go along with two assists, two rebounds and two steals in a 70-59 win over New Jersey City (02/13/08)… led the team in scoring in six contests, while breaking the double-digit scoring plateau on 14 occasions… had two or more assists in 14 games… put forth 13 multiple-steal efforts.

JUNIOR (2006-07): Named to the All-NJAC second team after breaking the school record for 3-point field goals in a season with 62 (old record was 58 by Nicole Torres in 2002-03)… led Raiders in scoring (13.0) and steals (43)… ranked sixth in the NJAC in scoring average, third in 3-point baskets made (2.30) and sixth in 3-point field goal percentage (33.2)… made 73.0 per cent of her free throws (46-63) and led Rutgers-Newark with eight blocked shots…started in 25 of 27 games, scoring in double digits 17 times while reaching the 20point plateau on six occasions… hit seven of 11 3-point field goal tries on her way to a career-high 27 points in a 58-53 loss at Montclair State (1/24/07)… also made seven treys while tallying 26 points in a 71-68 victory over Medgar Evers (12/12/06)… after getting shut out in the season-opening loss to Seton Hill, she bounced back with 26 points, five steals, four rebounds and two assists in a 75-54 loss to Walsh University (11/18/06)… registered 18 points and season-high seven rebounds in a 79-20 win over York NY (11/29/06)…also had seven rebounds to go along with 15 points in 58-53 loss to John Jay(12/9/06)… dished off season-high five assists to go along with 16 points in an 83-24 win over CCNY (11/21/06), hitting seven of 11 shots from the floor.

SOPHOMORE (2005-06):
Averaged 6.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals while appearing in all 27 games... earned three starting nods... opened season with a career-high 24 points plus six steals and five rebounds in 62-60 win over Western Connecticut (11/18/05)... poured in 22 points, hitting three of five from 3-point range, in 60-54 win at Kean (1/11/06)... hauled down career-high eight rebounds to go along with 10 points, three steals and two assists in 70-36 win over NYC College of Technology (1/9/06)... had 14 points and five steals in 81-33 romp over York NY (12/14/05)... posted 10-point, 7-rebound effort in65-51 win at NJCU (11/30/05)... hit three of six long-range jumpers in 11-point, 5-assist game against Lehman (12/12/05)... scored a dozen in 51-48 win over NJCU (1/25/06)... had eight double-digit scoring days and snared at least one rebound in 23 games... had 10 multiple-steal efforts and a dozen games with more than one assist.

FRESHMAN (2004-05): Averaged 6.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals a game as the first player off the bench... third on the squad with 45 steals... second on team with 32 3-point goals including 10 multiple-trey games... poured in 17 points with six rebounds and three steals in 80-76 win at Centenary (11/29/04)... had nine double-digit scoring games... capped season with 13-point, 3-steal effort in ECAC Metro Championship tourney loss at Baruch (3/2/05)... hit three of six shots from beyond arc on her way to 13 points in 75-51 win over Lehman (1/10/05)... had 11 points and five steals in loss at Rowan (2/19/05), hitting three of seven 3-point shots.

HIGH SCHOOL: First-team All-Red Division in the Greater Middlesex Conference at Woodbridge H.S.... helped Barons to two-year record of 33-15... GMC Most Improved Player as a junior as team went 14-9 and reached the conference semifinals... all-conference pick as a senior as Woodbridge finished 17-6 and played in the Group IV semifinals... also participated in cross country and track & field... honor roll student.

PERSONAL: Majored in sociology and criminal justice at Rutgers-Newark.
