JUNIOR (2009): Competed in six races, figuring in team scoring in each event… ran a personal-best time of 30:00.19 in the 6K at the Stevens Invitational (9/25).
SOPHOMORE (2008): Competed in five cross country meets in her first season of intercollegiate competition… R-N Coaches Award Winner for track & field for unselfish dedication to the team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four times at West Orange HS, helping the Mountaineers to back-to-back Northern Hills Conference titles as a junior and a senior.
PERSONAL: An academic junior who walked on to the squad in the fall of 2008… allied health and technologies major… daughter of Janet and Gregory Rutty… third youngest of eight brothers and sisters: Kelly, Shanna, Wolete, Abraha, Menilik, Mekonnen and Dawit… born in the Bronx, NY.
