ACADEMIC SUPPORT
A Rutgers University degree is ultimately what brings student-athletes to the Newark campus.
Through the efforts of our Athletic Academic Coordinator and attention by our coaching staff, student-athletes are assisted in reaching their academic goals. Class performance and progress are monitored, special needs are addressed on an individual basis, and academic obligations are the paramount consideration for Scarlet Raider student-athletes. The University offers tutoring assistance, study skills seminars and research resources to support all Rutgers students.
ATHLETIC TRAINING
The Scarlet Raider Athletic Training staff takes care of all treatment, rehabilitation and conditioning of our student-athletes. The training staff has a fully-equipped facility in The Golden Dome.
ATHLETICS COMMUNICATIONS
Exploits of Scarlet Raider student-athletes and their teams are chronicled and publicized by the Athletics Communication Office which provides stories, statistics and news to hometown newspapers, radio and television.
Parents, fans, the campus community and the student-athletes stay in tune with all facets of Athletics and Recreation through the department’s comprehensive website: www.rutgersnewarkathletics.com. Completely redesigned during the summer of 2007, the site provides schedules, stories, statistics, individual profiles along with live in-game statistics for selected home contests. Video streamed film clips have been added to the menu for 2007-2008.
