Mayo comes to Rutgers University-Newark with experience coaching in NJ baseball at all levels from high school to Division I student-athletes and a reputation as one of the bright young coaches in the game. Most recently, Mayo served three seasons as the assistant coach at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC). While at RVCC, coach Mayo worked primarily with infielders, hitters and baserunners. Additionally, Mayo spet three years as head coach of the Celmente Baseball Club of the ABCCL and one year as the assistant coach of the Trenton Generals of the ABCL.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Mayo also spent time as an assistant coach at both South Brunswick High School and Jonathan Dayton High School. Mayo earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Centenary University and is currently pursuing his masters in Athletic Leadership through Rider University. He also works for the NFL on weekends and works as a personal trainer at Crunch Fitness.
