PERSONAL
George Xanthos, is majoring in Biology, originates from North Arlington and graduated from Bergen County Academies. Standing at 6'0", George is a left-handed pitcher with a keen focus on academics, earning a spot on the Dean’s List with a 4.0 GPA. Beyond the baseball diamond, he enjoys activities like hiking, basketball, and traveling. His favorites include "Avengers: Infinity War," Chipotle, Kevin Hart, and Mariano Rivera. George chose Rutgers University-Newark for its proximity to home and outstanding academic programs, aligning with his aspirations of attending Medical School. His parents, Nick and Fran, did not play sports in college, and he doesn't have siblings who played sports at the collegiate level. George hopes to be remembered by his coaches and teammates for his meaningful contributions to the Rutgers Newark Baseball program, both on and off the mound.
