2024: Started all 38 games he appeared in…Had 133 at-bats…Scored 31 runs, had 37 hits, 12 doubles, and four home runs…Tallied 22 RBI, was walked 19 times and hit by a pitch 14 times for an on-base percentage of .414…Tallied a sacrifice fly three times and had four stolen bases…Batted .278 for the season…Had 53 putouts, 104 assists, and nine errors for a .946 fielding percentage…Scored his first career home run in the win over Pittsburgh-Greensburg…Had a season-high four RBI versus Curry…Had two doubles against John Jay and Montclair State.

Michael Weinbel, is pursuing Finance, hails from Middletown and graduated from Middletown High School North. Standing at an impressive 6 feet 2 inches, Michael showcases his skills as a shortstop and second baseman. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends, weightlifting, and fishing. His favorite movie is "Sandlot," and he savors steak as his go-to food. Mike Trout stands out as his favorite athlete. Michael chose Rutgers University-Newark for its exceptional education paired with the opportunity to play Division III baseball. His father, Mike, had a sports background, having played football in college. Michael, however, is the only one in his family to pursue collegiate athletics. Once he graduates, Michael hopes to be remembered as a leader both on and off the field. He represents the Jersey Giants in his club team activities.
