Jon Howell-Clarke joined the Rutgers University-Newark men’s basketball program as its graduate intern in the fall of 2014 with sights set on developing a career in basketball management.
A 2012 graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in operations management, Howell-Clarke is enrolled in the Rutgers-Newark graduate program in liberal studies while immersing himself in the day-to-day tasks of keeping the Scarlet Raiders’ highly-regarded basketball program running smoothly.
Last year, the Reading, PA, native worked as a basketball operations intern for the NBA D-League. Following graduation from Delaware, he served as an assistant coach for boys’ basketball at Exeter Township High School, helping his alma mater to an 18-6 record and a district playoff appearance.
