Kelsey Stonehocker joined the cross country and track and field team as a graduate assistant in 2019 from Lorimor, Iowa.
Stonehocker was a standout thrower at Methodist University from 2015-2018 where she was team captain. She also was Indoor Track and Field USTFCCCA Shot Put All-Region and Atlantic Independent Conference Champion in the shot put, discus, and javelin.
Previous to winning at Methodist University, Stonehocker was a Track and Field Throwing Coach from 2014 to 2015 for Ramstein High School. There, she helped produce two shot put DoDEA European Champions, one in 2014 and one in 2015. She also had a second-place finisher in the discus at the DoDEA European Championship in 2015.
Once she graduated with a B.S. in General Science Secondary Education from Methodist University, she became the Track and Field Throwing coach from 2018 to 2019. Under her tutelage, Stonehocker produced one USA South Rookie of the Week and a pair of USA South Athletes of the Week.
The throwers under her guidance also earned USA South Champion in the shot put, a second-place finish in the discus at the USA South Championship and eight throwers qualified for the finals with seven of them finishing in the top six of their respective events.
