Dan Siconolfi has been a part of the Rutgers-Newark men's soccer program since his freshman year in 2004. As a four-year letterman as a defender to a three-year stint as the second graduate intern for soccer in Scarlet Raider history to his first season as an assistant coach in the fall of 2012, he has continued to contribute to the program while advancing his career and academic goals.
The defensive stalwart, who helped the Scarlet Raiders to their first trip to the ECAC Metro Championship match in school history as a senior, received a bachelor of arts in history in the spring of 2009. He completed his master's in public administration in the spring of 2012.
Siconolfi played in 81 career matches, earning 73 starting assignments over a playing career which included a medical hardship season in 2006.
He earned second-team All-Essex County, third-team All-Northern Hills Skyline, and honorable mention All-Section 2 as a senior at West Orange High School. He helped Moutaineers to back-to-back Essex County titles and his senior team went 22-2-2 and took Group 4 Section 2 title. The Mountaineers went 18-2-1 and earned conference crown during his junior season.
Siconolfi worked extensively with assistant athletic director for facilities Mike Alvarez’s student crew between his playing career and his entry into the Rutgers-Newark master's program.
