Broomall was a standout goalkeeper for the Scarlet Raiders from 2012-16. During his time as a player, he won NJAC Goalkeeper of the Year twice as well as being named NJAC All-Conference all four seasons. He was a Regional All-American and tallied 30 clean sheets with two NCAA Appearances.
Upon graduating from Rutgers University-Newark, Broomall became the coach of Bluefield University, an NAIA Division I team. In his first year at the helm, Broomall took them to the NCCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. The following season he continued to build off of that success and brought Bluefield University to the NCCAA Tournament Semifinal. From there Broomall continued playing and played on several different teams before latching on as the Goalkeeper Coach for Rutgers University-Newark in 2022.
