Biography
FRESHMAN (2013-14): OUTDOOR T&F: Set new R-N record in the discus at 41.49 meters at the Roadrunner Invitational (4/5/14)… upped his own school record twice during the season, topping the 40-meter plateau four times… heaved the shot put 13.11 meters at the Shamrock Invitational (3/22/14) in his only try at the event. INDOOR T&F: Competed in the shot put and weight throw… notched a season’s best of 14.19 meters in the shot put at the DeSchriver Invitational (2/2/14)… had a season’s best of 11.38 meters in the weight throw at the NJAC Championships (3/1/14).
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three letters in track at South Plainfield HS… MVP in indoor and outdoor track… GMC champion in disc and shot put… holds the school record in discus… sectional champion in discus and shot put… indoor sectional champion in indoor and outdoor track… also participated in football.
PERSONAL: Son of Mohammad and Shehnaz Abdeljaber… has a younger brother (Adam)… undecided on major field of study.
