Jens Madsen in his third season as an assistant coach for the Rutgers-University Newark men's volleyball program in 2019.
Madsen is concurrently serving as the Head Men's Volleyball Coach at Watchung Hills Regional High School, now in his fifth season with the team. In addition, he has been the assistant women's volleyball coach at J.P. Stevens High School since 2014. Prior to that role, Madsen was the assistant men's volleyball coach for the St. Joseph's High School program from 2005 to 2014.
Along with his coaching Madsen has been a Health and Physical Education teacher at the Evergreen Elementary School in Plainfield, N.J. since 2014 and previously was an ABA Instructional Aide at Jefferson Elementary School in Summit, N.J. from 2012 through 2014.
Madsen graduated from Kean University Magna Cum Laude in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Physical Education. He was a member of Lambda Alpha Sigma for academic honors and the Dean's List from 2009 to 2011.
