Ryan Ackermann is in her third season as a member of the Rutgers University-Newark volleyball programs in 2018-19. She serves as an assistant coach to both the Scarlet Raider men and women.
Ackermann is a graduate of Rider University where she was a Division I standout for the Broncs. She was named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic squad four times and received the prestigious Presidential Scholarship from Rider.
Ackermann was an Under Armour All-American in 2013, earning District and Regional Player of the Year honors that same season. A double major, Ackermann received her degree from Rider in Management & Leadership and Human Resource Management in 2016, maintaining an incredible 3.73 cumulative grade-point average.
She was a two-year captain of the Broncs and while in college coached for the Virginia Power Volleyball Club based in Ashburn, Va.
