HONORS: 2015 CVC Champion, 2015 NCAA 'Elite 8'
2015: Saw time in four matches and seven total sets, hitting .417 overall with 13 kills ... picked up two total blocks and 17 points, notching seven kills against Brooklyn College on January 31 and four against DI NJIT on April 14 ... had three service aces and four digs in the January 31 win over Brooklyn as well.
HIGH SCHOOL: First team All-American Division in the Super Essex Conference as a senior at Bloomfield HS while earning two varsity letters in volleyball… helped team to records of 17-13 (2013) and 16-5 (2014)… two-sport athlete who also earned a letter in basketball as a senior… earned letters in volleyball and basketball as a high school sophomore in his native Puerto Rico before moving to the States.
PERSONAL: Entering the pre-engineering program… son of Joselyn Maldonado… has an older sister (Shailiesly) and a younger brother (Jose)… born in Caguas, Puerto Rico.
