Personal: Gavin Walker-Mason, hailing from Peoria, Arizona, is a valuable addition to the Men's Volleyball team at Rutgers University-Newark, playing as a Libero. Standing at 5'10", Gavin not only brings his athletic prowess but also excels academically, serving as a Rutgers University At-Large Student Body Senator and being a recipient of the Honors Living Learning Community Scholarship. Outside of volleyball, Gavin is passionate about traveling the world, baking, and hiking. His favorites include "The Hunger Games" as his go-to movie, lasagna as his preferred food, and he looks up to legendary athlete Greg Louganis. Gavin chose Rutgers University-Newark for the Honors Living Learning Community scholarship, the opportunity to play on the men's volleyball team, and the proximity to New York City. In addition to his on-court contributions, he hopes to be remembered by his coaches and teammates for his charismatic cheers and pre-game handshake rituals. Gavin is affiliated with the Aspire Volleyball Club.
