Personal: Laura Abreu is majoring in Criminal Justice, hails from Newark, NJ, and attended East Side High School. Standing at 5'2", Laura plays in the infield for the softball team. Apart from her athletic pursuits, she enjoys reading books, doing word puzzles, and running with her dog Tito. Her favorite movie is "Forrest Gump," favorite food is Mangu, and favorite athlete is David Ortiz. Laura chose Rutgers University-Newark for its excellent Criminal Justice school and its proximity to her home. Her parents did not play sports in college, and she doesn't have any siblings who played sports in college either. Once she graduates, Laura hopes her coaches and teammates remember her as a hardworking athlete. She is affiliated with the Lady Saints of Brooklyn club team.
