Biography

NOTES: True pivot player who shouldered a bigger burden last season… one of five seniors who have carried Rutgers-Newark to four straight winning records, a composite record of 65-43, the school’s first four appearances in the NJAC Championship Tournament and four consecutive ECAC Metro Championship Tournament berths.

PROFILE OF THE WEEK FEATURE (February 20, 2008)

SENIOR (2007-08): Started all 27 games for the Scarlet Raiders, averaging 7.6 points, a team-high 5.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game… ranked fifth in the NJAC in field goal percentage, shooting 49.1 percent… poured in 15 points and grabbed six rebounds in an 83-63 non-conference win over Staten Island (11/26/07)… scored 13 points and added five rebounds and three steals in a 63-14 win over John Jay (12/01/07)… netted 13 points and pulled down six rebounds against City Tech (12/08/07), before scoring a team-high 13 points against Montclair State (01/09/08)… equaled a career-high with 13 rebounds and added 11 points in a 75-61 win over Rowan (01/12/08)… scored a season-high 16 points and grabbed four rebounds in a 76-65 win over Richard Stockton (02/02/08)… tallied 15 points and tracked down six rebounds in a 60-48 victory over Montclair State (02/06/08)… broke into double-digit scoring on seven occasions… had 16 games of five or more rebounds.

JUNIOR (2006-07): Leading rebounder (4.4) and second-leading scorer (8.0) for 16-11 Raider squad while starting in 25 of 26 games… led team in free throws made (56) and attempted (78), making 71.8 per cent of her charity tosses… her 48.4 field goal percentage was the best on the team… added 38 steals and 21 assists… had a pair of double-doubles with 11 points and 10 boards in a 54-47 win over New Jersey City (12/6/06) followed by a 14-point, 10-rebound game six days later in a 71-68 victory at Medgar Evers (12/12/06)… netted a season-high 15 points to go along with five rebounds and two steals in an 83-59 win over Hunter (12/30/06)… notched 14 points, seven rebounds and three steals in season-opening loss to Seton Hill (11/17/06)… contributed 10 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals as Raiders earned their first-ever NJAC tournament win with a 51-50 upset of Richard Stockton (2/20/07) on the road… made five of six shots from the floor and drained all three of her free throws for 13 points in a 53-40 regular-season over Stockton (12/2/06)… also went five for six and scored 13 points in 64-28 win over Polytechnic (11/26/06).

SOPHOMORE (2005-06):
Started in 16 games, leading the Scarlet Raiders in field goal percentage (53.7%)... averaged 5.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game... posted a double-double with 10 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in 70-36 win over NYC College of Technology (1/9/06)... chalked up career-highs of 17 points and four assists to go along with three steals in 70-53 win over Rowan (2/18/06)... pulled down 10 rebounds in ECAC Metro Championship tourney loss at Farmingdale (3/1/06)... had 12-point, 5-rebound effort in loss to Kean (2/15/06)... netted 10 points in 57-51 win over Rutgers-Camden (12/10/04)... registered eight points and eight rebounds in 48-46 win over William Paterson (2/1/06)... shot 50% or better from the field in 17 of 27 games including a seven-for-10 game at Rowan (2/18/06) in the regular-season finale.

FRESHMAN (2004-05):
Saw action in 25 of 27 games, averaging 15.2 minutes per game... averaged 3.0 points and 2.5 rebounds... grabbed a rebound in all but three appearances, scoring in 20 games... posted a season-high eight points in 56-49 win at York NY (11/27/04)... capped season with an season-high eight rebounds plus six points in ECAC Metro Championship tourney loss at Baruch (3/2/05)... pulled down seven rebounds in home loss to TCNJ (2/12/05)... was three for four from the floor for eight points with two assists in a road loss to Rowan (2/19/05)... had two steals each in road games versus Centenary (11/29/04), Montclair State (12/4/04) and Brooklyn (12/11/04).

HIGH SCHOOL:
Two-time first-team All-NNJIL and four-year letterwinner at Nutley H.S.... helped Raiders to quarterfinal round of the state playoffs as a senior... an honor roll student.

PERSONAL: Majored in psychology at Rutgers-Newark.
