Biography

PERSONAL
Alyssa Rivera, is majoring in Biology, calls Belleville, NJ, her hometown and attended Hudson Catholic Regional High School. Standing at 5’3”, Alyssa plays as a 3rd baseman for the softball team. Alongside her athletic pursuits, she enjoys volleyball, painting, singing, and baking. Alyssa’s accolades include being part of the National Honors Society and earning HCIAL First Team All League Utility and HCIAL First Team All League Third baseman titles twice consecutively. Her favorite food is lasagna, and she enjoys watching the movie "Blended" starring Adam Sandler. Alyssa chose Rutgers University-Newark for its community, sports, education, and opportunities. Her parents, Saraida and Dion Rivera, didn't play sports in college, but her siblings, Ashlee and Aliyah Rivera, played softball at the collegiate level. Alyssa hopes to be remembered by her coaches and teammates for her focus, determination, and supportive team spirit both on and off the field. She is affiliated with the EC Bullets club team.
